THE ARTHUR J. KANIA SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

The University of Scranton's online MBA degree is offered by the College of Graduate and Continuing Education in collaboration with the Kania School of Management, named for distinguished alumnus Arthur J. Kania ’53, who earned a law degree from Villanova University Law School in 1956. In addition to many other honorary and board positions, Kania is a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Trustee Emeritus of The University of Scranton. The school is housed in Scranton’s most technologically advanced building, Brennan Hall, completed in 2000.

The Kania School of Management is distinguished by being at the forefront of new technologies and developments such as globalization, cross-functional teamwork and e-commerce. Students benefit from an alliance between the Kania School and global software leader SAP to incorporate enterprise resource planning concepts into the curriculum.

Distinctions
The Kania School of Management is among a small number of institutions accredited by the AACSB International (association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Only about 5 percent of educational institutions worldwide that offer business degrees have achieved this distinction. Our online MBA is one of the few offered by accredited schools that is available completely online.

For the seventh consecutive year, the Princeton Review ranks Scranton’s business school among the "Best Business Schools” in the United States.

In the 2012 edition of US News & World Report's rankings of Top Online Business Programs, The University of Scranton's Online MBA program was ranked #1 for Student Engagement and Accreditation and #13 for Student Services and Technology.

For the 18th consecutive year, US News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" edition ranked The University of Scranton among the 10 top master's universities in the north, the survey's largest and most competitive region. US News also named the University among the nation’s 45 "up and coming" schools. For four consecutive years, Scranton has ranked among Universities-Masters in the North in the category "Great Schools at a Great Price," a ranking that relates academic quality to the cost of attendance.

A 2010 national ranking of business schools, based on a survey of 19,000 business students and published by Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review, places The University of Scranton’s MBA program among the top 15 in the nation for general management for two consecutive years. Joining The University of Scranton in that elite group are institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Virginia.
